What's wrong with me?

Lately my life has turned in a different direction. My point of views have changed drastically. Each day I'm learning to hate people more and more. I've been screwed over by a lot of girls. I used to imagine getting married and settling down someday, but now I want nothing to do with women. Teenage boy doesnt' act like the average boy?

I know that everyone is different and some children mature faster than others, I am so concerned about my nephew. He is 13yrs old, a few months ago my sister and I found out he had been browsing gay sites, every since than we have reached out to him let him know how much we care about him and love him, he says that he's not gay and he dont know why he was going to those sites (at this age I know he maybe confused and not really know what he is) I'm just concerned about him, he doesnt play in sports nor watch any sports at all, he loves to dress like young boys with the latest styles and such things yet I'm just confused by some of his actions. He's not real feminine or anything but he's not manly either. I am just wondering is he going through a phase or what, we try to enroll him in summer programs etc, to get involved in sports or to just have a life but he's never interested in anything, he doesnt come from a bad home, we've talked about school and whether or not children may be bullying him and he says no he's ok at school. So I dont know what to do or think my sister is a single parent and it saddens me to see her wondering and worried about her son because he's just not socialable around other people outside of our family members or children at his school this is not good for a 13 year old boy.

I am twenty but often feel as if my body is falling apart. I suffer from migraines, TMJ, costochondritis, I have an arthritic left ankle, ulnar nerve entrapment, frequent lower back pain, fibroids, ovarian cysts and chronic rhinitis. My mother swears to god that she can see herself in me which is really scary as she has fibromyalgia but doctors keep saying it is not hereditary - I am holding on to that bit of hope for not but at any given time I am in some form of pain in so much that my friends endearingly call me fragile or some even more pointedly ask me upon greeting me 'what hurts today?' to which I generally say nothing. I try to put up a brave face because I know that nothing I have is life-threatening, and I don't want to be ungrateful but sometimes it is just sooo frustrating. At times I want to curl up in bed and cry because I just want to feel normal without all the pain and painkillers and doctors appointments. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do when I get so frustrated? Because right now if I don't get a smile back on ASAP I will have to confess to my roommates that I am in pain, and I do not want to ruin the fun - as usual.

Why aren't semi's built to maintain speed limit up a grade under load?

asked the same thing other day and wanted to refine what I asked. I understand basic physics. A heavier load will require more energy for truck to pull, hense, lower speed. I am intereted why manufactures do not equip their trucks with enough power to make it up a grade and maintain posted speed limits. Would fuel cost not be worth it? I realize a 40ton truck is a lot to handle, but if a truck does this on a regualr basis, I wonder what impact increased speed would mean for fuel use, time, expense, tire load/speed, trailer stress, axle stress, etc. Maybe compare to mining trucks which always pull up hills an impact on cycle time ( I know different..)

How long should cycling take if I've used things from a previously established tank?

i agree with the person above, but what you should do is grab some of the gravel from the established tank into the new one because benificail bacteria develops within the filter and gravel so that will speed it up even more, from what i heard this process should take about 1-2 days but i geuss either a 55 gallon will take more time to cycle, or because there is no trace of ammonia in the tank, i suggest just putting one of your fishes in there for a few hours afeter feeding and once it has pooped, your gonna see great results.

Are Ivy Leagues even a possibility for me? Am I on the right path?

24 year old, married female. No kids ( ever, as I am more focused on my career rather than children). Dropped out of high school junior year, earned GED quickly with no prep; scored well. Was heavily involved in extracurricular activities. Had excellent grades all through HS. I do not consider myself overly smart, but bright in some areas. Have been working as steadily as possible since 2003 ( my husband was in the USAF, so that got in the way of my education and goals). Currently attending junior college as a double major ( pre-med and psychology). I know going to an Ivy League takes lots of planning and hardwork, which is why I am thinking about it now. I am considering the fact that I should volunteer a lot until I transfer to a state college, instead of working if possible ( or find a job in the medical/ psychological field). Then possibly start applying to Ivy Leagues maybe before finishing my Bachelors. I know they are very interested in numbers, so I am soon going to start taking prep cles for ACT and SAT. Is there even a possibility of me getting into an Ivy League ( I am very interested in the programs at Darmouth)? I have looked at the many transfer requirements and am trying my best to match them up with my current program and future program. Any advice for me? Should I become involved in extracurriculars in college? I am currently talking to an advisor, but thought I should also seek outside opinions. I am dedicated to my education and take it very seriously. Anyone with an Ivy League education would be especially helpful. All opinions welcome.

Not religious... do you believe in God?

The reason I am asking is because, well, I am not religious. I mean, I know the gist of some religions such as Christianity and Catholicism (sp?) etc. My Dad is Catholic and used to go to church. I went to church as a young child but don't remember. I grew up with no real religious influence. However, I do believe in God, to an extent. You probably lack the hard drive space. Empire: Total War is a very demanding game when it comes to system specs. Most likely it's because your body m index is 17.6 putting you in an underweight category. Cheeks have a nice fat pad that causes the rounded shape, if you are able to gain more weight then you might find your cheeks round at as well. For some people they simply have incredibly fast metabolisms and a lean build where it is difficult to gain weight. Do I need a backflow preventer with a gas turbine?

I made a gas turbine from a turbocharger and my fuel is propane. I have a propane regulator from a deep-fryer to regulate the fuel. Somebody told me I needed a backflow preventer to keep flames from the propane tank. Now I know this may sound crazy, but it is my understanding that there should not be a danger of an explosion because there will be no oxygen in the tank if it does happen. Fuel w/o is not a danger, or am I wrong. Plus, shouldn't the regulator prevent it? It is a modern one.

Is My Snowboard Too Big?

So I just bought a new Burton 165 Wide snowboard, but I am not sure if it too big or not. I am 6'3" 200 pounds with size 13 feet, so I'm a pretty big guy. The board is about an inch below my chin and is pretty flexible with Burton giving it a 4 out of 10 on their flex scale (1 being the most flexible and 10 being the least). Basically I would be mostly free-riding on the mountain, and maybe hitting some jumps here and there but no serious park riding. I'm just not sure if I will be able to handle this thing or not. Will I be able to carve, turn, stop, etc? I'm just afraid I'll be shooting down the mountain (as I know longer boards are faster) without the ability to really carve it up. What do you experienced riders/instructors/ski shop workers think?

Just bought a Betta Fish?

I just bought a Betta fish, with a 1 gallon aquarium, with some gems and a live Anubis plant. I filled the water with tap, and put in a tablet of Tetra Aqua-safe, which 1 tablet treats 10 gallons. My question is, the water turned bluish after it all disolved.. i waited a while to put the fish in it.. the fish seems fine, but goes to the top of the tank often, and sometimes to the bottom, but comes right back up for air i ume. Is the blueish water bad? is it normal for the fish to continually go up for air? he is active though.

Trying to root willow branches, but they die first ?

It's getting go be very frustrating. I tried once last spring or summer and the same thing happened, so I figured I'd try again this year. the willow tree I got the branches from is from a neighbourhood garden that's usually locked up, so I rarely have he opportunity to go in at other times of the year. about four days ago, I cut two 6 foot long, slightly less than pinky-thick branches, and now the leaves are wilting, withering, and falling off. they're both in a coffee pot in partly sunny, south facing room here in Brooklyn, ny. last summer I stuck the branches in some moist soil after a day or two of being in he water, but they died too, so i figured I'd keep them in water this time until roots sprouted. do I just let the leaves die off, and still let the branches sit for a month? or are they simply dead/dying with no hope of rooting? would love to plant one of the branches in my backyard to block the view of my house from my pervert neighbour who lives across the way. I do know that the farnam product no chew spray is not good to put in their hair as it is wicked sticky and will make a mess. I did find that once when I put original brown Listerine mouth wash on my horse's make to keep him from rubbing it, the other horses stopped grooming him and i ume it was because of the taste or smell. I do not know if it works, but it is worth a try. Good Luck.

Today in my chem lab I mixed 1g bleach solution (household, I think) with 3ml of 3M sulfuric acid. There was immediately a ton of bubbling and a REALLY strong odor that I accidently breathed in and immediately made me feel light headed. Did I create chlorine gas? There are two options that could be occurring here, one you've started gaining more muscle, which weighs more than fat. This is plausible because you said you've been working out as of late and when working out muscle is sure to follow. Two, you've started putting on water weight, you're an 18 year old female, which means that if you're regular you will be having a period within the next 4 weeks (depending on when you had your last one of course). The slimquick is not making you fatter, however if you are not eating at all (one small meal a day or less), then when you do eat the food is going to go straight into storage so that your body and conserve it for its next starvation period. My suggestion is to try the slimquick for a month, I haven't heard much about this product as to tell you if it is harmful for you or not so please, research it if you haven't already, and continue to eat a well balances diet and exercise regularly. And remember muscle weighs more than fat so when you gain weight its not always a bad thing!

I have a 1995 ford probe. Today while driving it, it began to get really sluggish. I'm taking 3 AP's this year and plan to take more during my senior year. I've already hired a great PSAT/SAT prep tutor to help me prepare for the 2 exams later this year. If I do get a great SAT score... say like a 1950 or higher... would it still be possible to get into a UC school like UCSB or USC? Those 2 are the main UC schools that I'm interested in. I used to work in a Nursing facility and this is what a dietary aide did. It is usually making desserts, wrapping silverware, pouring drinks, making coffee, tea, making trays to put on the carts, washing dishes, washing pots, and pans, stocking food, serving patients (putting the stuff on their table) no feeding, general cleaning, sweeping and mopping. It is hard work, and generally there is a lot of turnover/burnout. On the positive side, it is steady work, and if you like patients, you can really enjoy helping people.
