My BD is in NOV. Figuring the year cycle I am in should I do 2010, my last BD or Earth year of 2011?

My birthday in last Nov. 2010 makes me in a 9 year cycle (11-4-2010) Does that carry through to 11-4-2011 OR do I figure the Earth year which would be a 1 cycle till my BD again 11-4-2011?
