The disciples of Christ were baptizing people long before this blood for sin thing, so were they valid for....?

Christ did not baptized anyone. Before Christ baptism is a symbol of cleansing and initiation for joining a group. After the death of Christ it is the actual cleansing of your sins if you truly believe the gospel and repented of your sins. Acts 2:38.
