Is it weird to be terrified of Japanese/Chinese people?

My friend is and We were wondering y, she doesn't even know y she is. When there is one around her she shakes and won't look at them, it's like she senses their presents. O and her great gpa fought in the korean war and hated the Chinese, could this b hereditary? I AM NOT TRYING TO B RASIST! so don't say I am! :)
